CHARLEVOIX VILLAGE ASSOCIATION is a neighborhood association in Detroit’s working-class and majority-Black lower Eastside. Active since the 1970s, they are currently fighting displacement, re-segregation, and gentrification in response to the city's plans for inequitable “redevelopment” of their neighborhood.

In 2018, CVA commissioned me to create a quasi-editorial design for their demands document, which they plan to share on their website and social media, distribute at their meetings and rallies, and present to the press and city government officials.

I completed this project in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I manipulated a recent meeting photo to make it look as though people in the crowd were holding a protest sign with the page title. For the demand numbers, I re-purposed the same photo, transforming members' raised fists into sign-holding hands.
